Megha Transport started with three trucks on the Kolkata–Delhi route in 2009. We now run a 380-vehicle fleet across 500+ Indian cities — still answering the phone ourselves.
Megha Transport was founded in Howrah in 2009 by Devendra Ghosh, a former fleet supervisor who was tired of watching shipments get lost between four different middlemen. The idea was simple: one company, one waybill, one phone number to call when something needs to change mid-route.
Sixteen years later, that's still the pitch. We've added GPS tracking, warehousing hubs and a 24/7 dispatch desk, but every shipment still moves through people who've spent time on a loading dock, not just a spreadsheet.
Printed and pinned above the dispatch desk since 2014 — the rules every booking gets checked against.
We quote transit times we can actually hit, not the number that wins the booking.
Transit insurance is default, not an add-on you have to ask for.
A dispatcher answers exceptions around the clock — no ticket queue.
If a truck is trackable, the shipper can see it. No calling in for updates.
Watch the truck make the run — each stop is a real milestone from our sixteen years on the road.
